About A Sure Foundation
“A Sure Foundation: God, Man, and Salvation” presents a concept and an implementation of that concept. The concept is "comprehensive context": the notion that religious differences and doctrinal friction can be greatly reduced by examining all available scripture on a particular subject, with the added confirmation of the Holy Spirit. The implementation is the application of comprehensive context to three general topics: the nature of God, the nature of humanity, and the many aspects of salvation. Each general topic is subdivided into chapters, and after each chapter I provide comprehensive lists of relevant scriptural citations. Comprehensive context and the confirmation of the Holy Spirit offer the most solid foundation for understanding and interpreting scripture. When we prayerfully study all of God’s word, misunderstanding and strife are greatly diminished. So grab a hot mug and settle down to an immersive study of God’s word.
